History: At Fırat University, Electrical-Electronics Engineering has been offering Master's Degree with Thesis since 1980, and Doctorate education in 1986.
Degree Earned: This department is subject to the second stage degree system of 90 ECTS credits in the field of engineering (Electrical-Electronics Engineering) in higher education. When the program is successfully completed and program qualifications are met, you will receive a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Admission Requirements: There are no special admission requirements for this program. You can review the Fırat University Regulations/Guidelines page from the General Admission Conditions regarding admission and registration to the program.
Transition to the Upper Level: Those who have completed their master's degree can apply to doctoral programs, provided that they meet the necessary conditions (average average, foreign language etc.).
Graduation Requirements: In order to receive the degree / complete the program, courses must be taken from the announced graduate course program for 60 ECTS credits and these courses must be completed successfully. Following the completion of the course phase, the thesis must be completed and submitted on a subject to be determined under the supervision of the faculty advisor. In addition, the student whose thesis is accepted is required to successfully present his/her work orally in front of the appointed jury.
Graduate Employment Opportunities: Research and development departments in the private and/or public sector, Telecommunications, Automotive, Power Plant and Electricity Distribution sectors and the Software sector are the most common areas of employment; They can also start their own business.

Degree Earned: "Doctor" in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Admission Requirements : Those who apply with a master's degree must have at least; In the score type of the program, it is required to get 55 points from standard ALES and YDS (ÜDS related to the field) or equivalent exams and to have a master's degree graduation grade average of 75/100. • Evaluation: It is calculated by taking 50% of the ALES score, 20% of the master's degree graduation grade, 20% of the YDS or equivalent exam score and 10% of the scientific evaluation exam. Candidates with scores of 70 and above are ranked and the main and reserve lists are determined. In case of equality, priority is given to the candidate with the higher undergraduate graduation grade. The candidate must take the scientific evaluation written and oral exams to be held under the chairmanship of the relevant program/department. A candidate who does not take one of the exams is considered unsuccessful.
Transition to the Upper Level: R&D positions and academic career opportunities are wide for our graduates. They can take academic positions in the R&D departments of private companies or universities.
Graduation Requirements: Electrical-Electronics Engineering PhD program consists of 9 professional courses, EEM 502 Doctoral Seminar course, EEM 666 Doctoral Qualification and EEM 600 Doctoral Thesis study.
