Research Assistants (when necessary)
The Education Committee is responsible for updating the department curriculum in accordance with national and international academic standards, improving course plans, enhancing student achievement, and ensuring the continuous improvement of educational activities.
Curriculum Development:
To review and revise undergraduate and graduate course plans; to prepare proposals for updates; and to oversee processes related to the introduction of new courses or the removal of existing ones.
Syllabus Monitoring:
To review the syllabi prepared by academic staff at the beginning of each semester, ensure compliance with the Bologna Process, and archive them for quality assurance purposes.
Educational Program Improvement:
To propose enhancements to the education program based on graduate and employer surveys, student feedback, and outcomes from accreditation processes.
Monitoring of Qualifications:
To periodically review program outcomes in relation to course learning outcomes and to support the use of compatible assessment methods.
Advising Process Evaluation:
To monitor the functioning of the student advising system and provide the necessary information and guidance to academic advisors.
Support for Accreditation and Quality Processes:
To prepare the necessary educational data, analyses, and reports for quality evaluation and accreditation activities such as MÜDEK.
Internationalization:
To support course equivalency processes for incoming/outgoing students within exchange programs (e.g., Erasmus, Mevlana) and contribute to the planning of courses offered in foreign languages.
Periodic Activity Reports:
To prepare and present semesterly or annual activity reports regarding the committee’s operations to the department board.
