The Technical Excursion Committee is responsible for organizing technical visits to industrial facilities, R&D centers, power plants, and related institutions in order to reinforce students’ theoretical knowledge with practical experience, enhance their engagement with the industry, and raise their professional awareness.
Excursion Planning:
Organize at least one technical visit per year that is appropriate for students’ academic level and schedule the visits in accordance with the academic calendar.
Institutional Communication and Permission Process:
Contact the relevant institutions for the excursions, obtain the necessary official permissions, and submit approval documents to the department and faculty administration.
Logistics and Safety Preparation:
Coordinate logistics such as transportation, accommodation (if applicable), dining, safety, and insurance, and provide students with required safety briefings.
Participant List and Orientation:
Prepare the list of participating students, organize orientation meetings, and assign academic staff to supervise the excursion.
Educational Alignment:
Ensure that the technical excursions are related to course content and support students in understanding the educational outcomes of the visit.
Feedback and Evaluation:
Collect feedback from students through written or online surveys after the excursion and use it to improve future events.
Reporting and Archiving:
Archive technical excursion reports, attendance lists, photographs, and student evaluations; share selected content on the department’s website when appropriate.
Industry Collaboration:
Maintain ongoing communication with the industry to ensure the sustainability of technical visits, foster institutional collaborations, and create new opportunities.
