The Social Activities Committee is responsible for organizing, announcing, and managing social events to support the students’ social, cultural, and professional development, and to foster a sense of belonging within the department.
Event Planning:
Plan seminars, panels, technical visits, talks, film screenings, tournaments, alumni meetings, and similar activities that contribute to students’ social and cultural development, based on an annual/semester calendar.
Event Coordination:
Communicate with academic staff, guest speakers, alumni, and institutional representatives participating in the events, and manage the necessary approval processes.
Collaboration with Student Clubs:
Organize joint events with department-related student clubs and encourage projects that increase student participation.
Announcement and Promotion:
Ensure timely announcements of planned events to students and academic staff using posters, social media, and email, and promote the events effectively.
Technical and Cultural Trips:
Organize technical visits to industrial organizations, fair visits, and cultural activities to support students' professional and social development.
Collecting Event Feedback:
Gather feedback from participants after each event, report the results, and contribute to the continuous improvement of future activities.
Alumni Engagement:
Maintain communication with alumni and create opportunities for them to share their experiences with students (e.g., alumni talks, career days).
Reporting:
Archive event-related photos, attendance lists, and activity reports, and submit them to the department administration.
