The Internship Committee is responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising the internship processes to ensure that students gain professional knowledge, skills, and experience.
Determining the Internship Regulations and Criteria:
Establishing the department’s internship principles in line with the university's relevant internship guidelines, making necessary updates, and informing students.
Internship Application Process:
Evaluating students' internship applications, granting approval for suitability, and verifying that the internship placements are aligned with the department's field of study.
Creating the Internship Calendar:
Creating the academic calendar for internship application, approval, evaluation, and report submission processes, and publishing it on the department's website.
Internship Evaluation Process:
Reviewing students' internship journals, workplace evaluation forms, and reports to validate internships or reject them if necessary.
Inspection of Internship Locations:
Contacting the institutions where internships are conducted when necessary for inspection and evaluation, and improving collaboration with these institutions.
Ensuring Compatibility with Educational Content:
Ensuring that the internship work aligns with theoretical courses and that students gain professional skills during their internships.
Information and Guidance:
Informing students about the internship processes, providing guidance in finding internship placements, and collaborating with the career center.
Developing Institutional Partnerships:
Establishing relationships with industry, public, and private sectors to provide students with appropriate and quality internship opportunities.
Resolving Internship-Related Complaints and Issues:
Evaluating and providing solutions to complaints, objections, or problems from students or institutions.
