The Strategic Planning Committee is responsible for defining the department’s goals in the fields of education, research, community engagement, and administration; developing the necessary strategies to achieve these goals; and supporting a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring implementation processes.
Strategic Plan Preparation:
Define the department's vision, mission, core values, and strategic objectives in alignment with the university's overarching strategic plan, and draft the department’s strategic plan.
Situation Analysis (SWOT):
Conduct SWOT analysis to identify the department's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; perform current status evaluations and stakeholder analyses.
Strategic Goals and Performance Indicators:
Establish strategic goals, sub-goals, and measurable performance indicators; develop a monitoring plan based on these indicators.
Implementation and Monitoring:
Track the implementation of activities outlined in the strategic plan, prepare annual evaluation reports, and revise the strategic plan when necessary.
Stakeholder Engagement and Feedback Collection:
Ensure the strategic plan is shaped through a participatory approach by collecting input from internal and external stakeholders.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks that may hinder the achievement of strategic goals and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Reporting and Documentation:
Archive all documents, reports, and outputs related to the strategic plan, and regularly submit them to the relevant university units.
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze the progress toward strategic goals and offer improvement suggestions to ensure the strategic plan remains feasible and sustainable.
